ORLANDO (Dec. 28, 2020) — Whether you are an art aficionado, history buff or simply relish incredible cuisine, Jack’s Place at Rosen Plaza is your ideal headquarters to ring in the new year with a visionary, one-of-a-kind culinary adventure.

One of USA Today’s Top Ten I-Drive restaurants, Jack’s Place celebrates the incoming year with as many succulent and tempting dishes as there are impressive autographed caricatures of luminaries and notable figures from throughout history spotlighting its walls.

For an inspired, one-night-only treat worthy of the occasion, Chef Michael presents a duo entrée special consisting of Pan Seared Chilean Sea Bass and Nueske’s Bacon Wrapped Petit Filet Mignon with chef’s potato and fresh seasonal vegetables for $49 per guest.

Mix and match from the new “Dining with the Stars” 3-course prix fixe menu for $39. The special promotion features delectable entrees such as Grilled Petite Filet Mignon, Vesuvio Chicken or Shrimp Pasta or Macadamia Chicken.

Or select a perennial favorite like Oven-Roasted Sixty South Salmon, Prime New York Strip with green peppercorn brandy sauce or Caramelized Chimichurri Scallops from Jack’s revered a la carte menu.

Raise a robust glass from Jack’s extensive wine list. Then kick back and celebrate with Barbra Streisand, Jackie O and Queen Elizabeth, just a few from the awe-inspiring collection of celebrity autographed caricatures “seated” next to you and your guests and located throughout the restaurant.

The unrivaled assemblage of caricatures was penned by Harris Rosen’s father and the restaurant’s namesake, Jack, during his time as a safety engineer at the Waldorf Astoria New York. Working there from the 1930s to 60s during the tony hotel’s heyday as a celebrity magnet, Jack created a collection that is a veritable “who’s who” of the day’s politicians, actors, sports stars, international dignitaries and more. JFK, Marilyn Monroe, Winston Churchill, Muhammad Ali, Alfred Hitchcock, Salvador Dali, Mao Tse-Tung, as well as the astronauts of Apollo 7, 8, 10 and 11, including Neil Armstrong, are among the collection, to namedrop a few.

As added treats, New Year’s Eve guests dining at Jack’s Place will receive their own caricature created by one of the restaurant’s artists in residence. Just don’t forget to add your autograph before framing for your wall! And can even request to be seated with their favorite star. A list of celebrities with a table locator is available online at JacksPlaceRestaurant.com/Caricatures.

Jack’s Place is located in Rosen Plaza, 9700 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819 and is open New Year’s Eve from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Jack’s Place Restaurant at Rosen Plaza Announces New “Dining with the Stars” Promotion

New Prix Fixe $35 Menu Features Guest Favorites and Surprises, Too

ORLANDO (Nov. 6, 2020) — While the saying goes all good things must come to an end, the team at the award-winning Jack’s Place at Rosen Plaza isn’t buying it.

On the heels of one of the restaurant’s most successful Magical Dining programs, which ended Oct. 31, the Jack’s Place chefs are letting the good times roll with the announcement of a new prix fixe menu at the program’s same affordable $35 per person, plus a few fun extras, available now through Dec. 20, 2020.

“Visit Orlando has created a wonderful opportunity for both restaurants and diners with Magical Dining, which we’ve been honored to participate in for 15 years,” said Rosen Plaza’s Executive Chef Michael McMullen. “This year’s huge response illustrated to us that now more than ever, locals and hotel guests are seeking some pleasure, as well as solace from the worries of our times, through an impeccable dining experience. Great food has always been a source of comfort. With ‘Dining with the Stars,’ we are extending the opportunity to enjoy a specially-crafted menu, which when accompanied by the Rosen standard of service and a few unique touches, should continue to provide just the right escape.”

Jack’s Place “Dining with the Stars” promotion extends a new three-course prix fixe menu at $35 per person, plus tax and gratuity, showcasing favorite dishes and a few new surprises from the restaurant’s revered selection of prime steaks and fresh seafood.

Starters include your choice of sesame crusted Ahi tuna, salt and pepper calamari, three-cheese baked onion soup or Jack’s House salad with candied pecans, poached pear and bleu cheese. Tantalizing main course options include grilled petite filet mignon accompanied with au gratin potatoes, macadamia breast of chicken with lemon caramelized onions and Italian five grain pilaf or Vesuvio shrimp pasta flavored with capers, Mediterranean olives, tomatoes and a splash of cream. Enjoy a sweet finish featuring guests’ favorite slice of award-winning Jack’s Key Lime Pie or decadent flourless chocolate torte. Or opt for Manhattan’s “Little Italy” affogato with a hot shot of Espresso gliding over roasted maple butter pecan gelato.

To further tantalize taste buds, guests can imbibe in a new curated Manager’s Wine List, each bottle just $25 (valued at $48 to $65 each) and selected as a refreshing, ideal accompaniment to enhance the flavors of the menu’s savory and sweet dishes.

Adding to the incredible cuisine and lively, spirited wines, one of Orlando’s most talked about restaurants features an unparalleled collection of hundreds of autographed celebrity “star” caricatures penned by Harris Rosen’s father, Jack, the restaurant’s namesake, during his time as a safety engineer at the Waldorf Astoria New York.
