5 Unique Star-Spangled Ways to Celebrate July 4th in Orlando

The Fourth of July is right around the corner — do you have plans?

Multiple red, white, and gold fireworks explode against a black sky.

Whether you’re a city local or you’re in Orlando for a summer getaway, there are dozens of events the whole family will love.

Fan of fireworks? Don’t miss the dazzling displays in Downtown Orlando, Kissimmee, Legoland, Walt Disney World, and Universal Studios Orlando.

If you want to keep the celebrations going beyond the fireworks, there’s no shortage of patriotic fun around town.

Independence Day is all about freedom, so celebrate your way at one of these amazing Orlando attractions.

Minnie Mouse, wearing a red dress with large white polka dots, black tights, and yellow shoes with bows, poses with a young boy in a dark blue Mickey Mouse t-shirt and red shorts, and a young girl in a white floral shirt and light blue denim shorts. They are on a paved walkway in front of a building with a light-colored facade and blue accents at Disney World in Orlando.

Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom

Liberty Square may be the smallest themed land at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, but it’s packed with history and heart.

The land was created to commemorate the American bicentennial.

It features a replica of the Liberty Bell made from the same mold as the original in Philadelphia and a 100-year-old oak tree reminiscent of the Boston Liberty Tree.

The Hall of Presidents is the crown jewel of Liberty Square, featuring animatronic figures of all the U.S. presidents and memorabilia from many of the country’s leaders.

It’s also one of the only places outside the White House authorized to use the presidential seal.

Presidents Hall of Fame in Clermont

Magic Kingdom not on your itinerary? There’s another way to pay homage to the U.S. presidents.

Get a unique look into presidential history at the Presidents Hall of Fame in downtown Clermont, Florida. See presidential China, first ladies’ gowns, historical documents, and campaign posters.

This charming museum is a decade older than Walt Disney World and features its own animatronics collection and a hand-built, room-sized replica of the White House.

The model even has working light fixtures, tiny televisions, and hand-crafted furniture, all created by the museum’s founders, John and Jan Zweifel.

The image shows a tall, pyramid-shaped monument constructed of various stones and plaques, with an American flag on top. The monument is located outdoors, surrounded by trees and a building. A person is visible in the lower left corner, taking a picture.

Monument of States

Another unique – and free – July 4th idea is on the shores of Lake Tohopekaliga in downtown Kissimmee.

Here you’ll find the Monument of States, a project dreamed up by Dr. Charles Bressler-Pettis, a WWI veteran who wanted to create a symbol of American unity while attracting visitors to his hometown.

The result was a colorful, 50-foot-tall pyramid, built by local volunteers in 1943 using rocks and fossils from each of the then-48 states.

President Franklin Delano Roosevelt personally contributed a stone from his estate in upstate New York.

The monument is located right by Kissimmee Lakefront Park, whose picnic pavilions, playground, and stunning views of Lake Toho make it the perfect place for a Fourth of July cookout.

The image shows a bald eagle with a white head and tail, a yellow beak, and dark brown body feathers.

Audubon Center for Birds of Prey

Help honor the U.S. by protecting one of its most iconic animals – the majestic bald eagle.

The Audubon Center for Birds of Prey in Maitland rescues, rehabilitates, and releases injured raptors across Florida.

After getting to know the center’s birds, you can sponsor your favorite one through the Adopt-a-Raptor program.

Admission to The Audubon Center for Birds of Prey supports conservation efforts and your visit helps protect the creatures that symbolize our nation’s freedom and strength.

Morse Museum of American Art

You can learn a lot about a place’s history through art.

This Fourth of July, take some time to celebrate American artists and artisans at the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art in Winter Park.

The museum boasts the world’s largest collection of Tiffany lamps, as well as an impressive array of pottery and paintings.

On previous Independence Days, the Morse has displayed all-American artifacts such as silverwork made by Paul Revere and baseballs signed by MLB greats.

The image shows a worn, off-white baseball with red stitching and faded signatures.

The museum – which notably offers free admission on July 4 – is a perfect place to stop before heading out to see your favorite fireworks show in the evening.

Orlando on July 4th: Know Before You Go

Orlando’s theme parks are open for business on Independence Day, and most of the unique attractions above are, too.

Other Orlando area attractions may be closed, or have limited hours, on the federal holiday.

Double-check each location’s hours as some may close early or adjust operating times for the holiday.

To avoid crowds, consider visiting certain attractions on July 3 or July 5 instead.

Let Freedom Ring at Rosen Plaza

After the fireworks fade and the crowds clear, wind down in comfort at Rosen Plaza, conveniently located on International Drive.

Whether you’re planning a relaxing long weekend or hitting Orlando’s biggest July 4th events, Rosen Plaza puts you in the heart of the action.

Book a room today and enjoy the freedom to rest, recharge, and celebrate America your way.

Here are our favorite spots for Father’s Day Fun on International Drive.

Tee Off at Topgolf Orlando

Treat Dad to a game of golf the whole family will enjoy.

Topgolf is the perfect blend of family-friendly competition and state-of-the-art technology.

You and your party can get comfortable in your private outdoor bay, covered from the sun and kept cool with overhead fans.

Pick your game of choice and start swinging with Topgolf’s signature clubs and Toptracer technology balls that track every shot you take.

Between turns, refuel with delicious food from their menu of burgers, wings, sandwiches, pizzas, and more.

On a beautiful June Father’s Day in Orlando, you can enjoy refreshing cocktails, draft beer, wine, and other beverages that will keep you cool (and just may loosen your swing a bit, too).

IPA Indulgence at My Beer Spa

A man with dreadlocks sits in a wooden tub holding a pint glass of beer, facing away from the camera.

Dads deserve relaxation, too.

While conventional spa treatments are always nice, the dad in your life may enjoy something a little more unique.

My Beer Spa is an innovative attraction in Orlando where guests can soak in warm baths of beer.

Well, kind of.

Each of their oversized jetted wood tubs is prepared with natural beer ingredients like hops, yeast, and barley for a soak full of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals.

This unique treatment soothes skin and muscles, improves circulation, alleviates stress and anxiety, and encourages detoxification.

While he soaks, Dad can help himself to a self-serve bar with a complimentary selection of local craft beers on tap.

After a bath, he can lie back in the Hay Lounge (with sheets and pillows provided) to allow his skin to absorb all the goodness from the treatment.

This totally unique experience is one that dads of all ages will love.

Bowl a Strike at Main Event

A rack with green and pink bowling balls in the foreground and ball returns and bowling lanes surrounded by large screens in the background.

Bowling at Main Event isn’t your average bowling experience.

Each lane is equipped with a state-of-the-art electronic scoring system, large screens, and fun, exciting vibes.

Whether Dad’s a beginner or a pro, the perfect lane exists at Main Event.

In addition to great bowling, Main Event also has attractions like laser tag, virtual reality experiences, billiards, glow-in-the-dark mini golf, arcade games, and so much more.

When you’ve worked – or played – up an appetite, Main Event has a full menu that takes bowling alley bar food to the next level.

Enjoy delicious appetizers, saucy wings, refreshing salads, and stacked burgers and sandwiches.

There’s also a full bar with craft cocktails, beer, and a variety of wines to add a little extra excitement to the competition.

Classy Dinner at Jack’s Place

A large, seared Tomahawk pork chop garnished with microgreens set on a square white plate beside two bowls with vegetables and a glass of red wine.

This year, toast to Dad over a beautiful dinner at Jack’s Place, an award-winning steakhouse on International Drive.

The restaurant evokes a beautiful blend of casual sophistication, perfect for spoiling Dad without making him wear a suit.

The menu boasts steakhouse classics like rich and cheesy baked onion soup, refreshing wedge salad, and celebration-worthy cuts of steak like filet mignon and a New York strip.

For an unforgettable meal, try the tender Tomahawk pork chop or the cooked-to-perfection Chilean sea bass.

Indulgent add-ons, unforgettable desserts, and a masterfully curated wine list all ensure Dad will feel like the man of the hour at your Father’s Day dinner.

A special touch he’ll also love? The decor.

The walls of Jack’s Place are covered in caricatures of some of history’s most notable celebrities, politicians, and headliners.

Each portrait was hand drawn by Jack Rosen, father of Rosen Hotels & Resorts founder Harris Rosen (hence the name “Jack’s Place”).
