ORLANDO — Rosen Hotels & Resorts IS Orlando. The 42-year-old company is synonymous with incredible meetings, spectacular events and exceptional service in Orlando and will exceed your expectations for support, flexibility, and partnership throughout your event process. When you’re meeting in Orlando, meet at Rosen Hotels and the company’s three luxurious convention properties—800-room Rosen Plaza, 1334-room Rosen Centre, and 1501-room Rosen Shingle Creek.

The three award-winning hotels combined form a significant synergy for larger groups by offering the most meeting space at 700,000 gross square feet and most guestrooms and suites at 3,635 within just minutes of each other, the Orlando International Airport, the Orange County Convention Center and Orlando’s world-famous theme parks, attractions, shopping, dining and more.

Take advantage of the 2016/2017 Rosen Hotels & Resorts’ Planner Perks Package and enjoy 25 percent discounts on IT services and select dining, 20 percent on in-house audiovisual services or one of several other special offers, based on your group’s size and date availability. The package is available for NEW BUSINESS booked now and consumed by Jan. 31, 2017. For details, call 407-996-4890.

All Rosen Hotels offer complimentary WiFi in guest rooms and public areas and state-of-the-art RFID locking technology for guestrooms and meeting areas. There is never a resort fee at any of the hotels.

The three Rosen convention properties are undergoing spectacular transformations from guestrooms to restaurants, enhancing the already-luxurious amenities. Rosen Plaza recently completed refurbishments in all 800 of their guestrooms and suites and now features expanded flexible indoor/outdoor event space with 3NINE, the hotel’s 5,000-square-foot state-of-the-art entertainment venue. 3NINE can accommodate 500 people indoors or 1,500 guests when the event is extended to the patio and pool deck ’39 Poolside Bar & Grill. The venue provides groups with a dedicated, onsite daytime or evening event space outfitted with all audiovisual needs and already fully decorated and themed, with no build-outs or expensive rentals needed.

Another of the company’s intriguing and versatile pre-themed venues is Harry’s Poolside Bar & Grill at the 1,334-room Rosen Centre. With its sparkling blue atmosphere and chic contemporary furnishings amid a tropical décor, the popular restaurant offers an opportunity for planners to save time and money with its built-in ambiance. Whether for a VIP dinner for 70 hosted indoors or a special event incorporating both the indoor and outdoor seating, as well as the pool deck, for up to 1,700 guests, Harry’s sets a stage that transports guests on a Caribbean escape.

At the AAA Four-Diamond Rosen Shingle Creek, a floor-to-ceiling refresh is taking place transforming its 1,501 guest rooms, several of its 15 dining and lounging options, lobby, and more in a modern Spanish Revival-style design. New earthy jewel tone hues will perfectly complement the hotel’s natural setting. Expanded seating throughout the lobby and dining venues will provide ideal communal areas to enjoy magnificent views of the manicured Shingle Creek Golf Club and tree line of historic Shingle Creek, headwaters of the Florida Everglades.

The hotel will soon be unveiling the newly redesigned 18-hole Shingle Creek Golf Course, in partnership with Arnold Palmer Design Company.

Earlier this year, Rosen Plaza opened Zayde’s Kosher Catering, a service providing kosher catering to banquets and meetings not only at Rosen Plaza, but also for guests of Rosen Shingle Creek and Rosen Centre, as well as the other four Rosen Hotels & Resorts, the Orange County Convention Center and all requests within greater Central Florida.

Rosen Shingle Creek and Rosen Centre were both named 2015 Cvent Top 75 Meetings Hotels in the U.S.

ORLANDO (September 1, 2016) – Rosen Plaza is taking on new life in Orlando this month as two of Rosen Hotels & Resorts’ most dedicated employees – Derek Baum and Jay Finkelstein – take on new roles as they continue their long-time tenure with the company.

Former general manager at Rosen Inn Pointe Orlando and 30-year Rosen Hotels’ associate, Baum celebrates his promotion as the new general manager of Rosen Plaza Hotel. He will be supported by Finkelstein, who moves into the assistant general manager positon after over 10 years in catering and convention services at Rosen Centre Hotel.

“We are thrilled to announce the promotion of both Derek and Jay, longtime valued and essential members of our team,” said Harris Rosen, President & COO, Rosen Hotels & Resorts. “Both are such genuine, committed individuals with incredible talent and ability, and we look forward to the opportunities and vision each brings to his new role.”

Derek Baum – General Manager

Baum began working with the company in 1986 at the Rosen Inn Pointe Orlando front desk as part of a college intern program. During his 30 years with Rosen Hotels & Resorts, he has served as the assistant general manager, general manager and director of operations as well as leading many special projects. Baum has been involved in operations and capital improvements at all Rosen Properties, and is instrumental in developing and implementing training programs. He is passionate about maintaining the superior levels of service and guest satisfaction that Rosen is known for throughout the industry. Derek’s hands-on approach and commitment to wellness and education initiatives are trademark qualities which will serve him well in his new role as general manager.

Jay Finkelstein – Assistant General Manager

Serving over ten years as Rosen Centre’s catering and convention services manager, Finkelstein is deeply rooted in the company’s history and core values. He comes from a strong background in food and beverage management – even before his time with the hotel – serving as the restaurant general manager of Wyndham Palace Resort and Spa for four and a half years and the Hyatt Regency restaurant general manager for two. With Finkelstein’s 30 years in the hospitality industry in New York and Florida, he is uniquely suited for the role of assistant general manager at Rosen Plaza, which recently launched Zayde’s Kosher Catering. Zayde’s accommodates intimate gatherings of 10 or lavish celebrations of up to 2,000 guests, for either in-house groups or offsite functions anywhere throughout Central Florida.

Rosen Plaza has unveiled several enhancements throughout the hotel this past year, including most recently, the completion of a floor-to-ceiling refurbishment of its 800 guestrooms and suites. Modern elements like walnut cabinetry and granite counter tops create a luxurious, chic experience for guests. “The new guestrooms and suites add to the contemporary elegance of the hotel,” said Victoria Hall, Director of Sales and Marketing, Rosen Plaza. “With the new 3NINE entertainment venue, ‘39 Poolside Bar & Grill and updated Jack’s Place restaurant, as well as our modernized furnishings and incredible event and meeting spaces, guests can truly relax and feel completely at home here at the Rosen Plaza.”

ORLANDO (August 10, 2016) – Food lovers rejoice! September is Magical Dining Month, where Orlando restaurants will offer prix fixe dinners with an appetizer, entrée and dessert for an exceptional value of $33. A special preview week begins August 29 and continues through October 2. Now in its 11th year, Magical Dining is a timely opportunity to enjoy Rosen Hotels & Resorts fine dining restaurants. One dollar from each meal will be donated to The Russell Home for atypical children. Rosen Hotels & Resorts is proud to have four of its fine dining establishments participating this year. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion, or just need an excuse to head out for a night on the town, an evening at a Rosen Hotels restaurant is magical indeed. The executive chefs and their teams at each restaurant have gone to great lengths to prepare special menus, showcasing the skill, creativity and signature flavors that make each venue unique. If you have not had the opportunity to visit the following restaurants, here’s just a taste of what you will find.

AAA Four Diamond A Land Remembered, Rosen Shingle Creek

This opulent creek-side restaurant is the perfect backdrop for a romantic evening, from the warm rich décor to the elegant lighting. The Magical Dining menu offers four choices of appetizers, entrees and desserts, each prepared with the freshest ingredients and presented with impeccable service. Start the evening off with a Boca Grande Crab Cake with Scallion Aioli and Red Chili Pepper glaze, or Grilled Hearts of Romaine with warm Goat Cheese. A few of the main courses include Florida fresh catch of the day, and an exquisitely prepared Filet Mignon with Herb Butter using herbs from the restaurant’s on-site organic herb garden. Linger over a glass of wine before moving on to dessert, which is prepared under careful supervision of world renowned Executive Pastry Chef and Chocolatier David Ramirez. Savor a slice of Chocolate Mousse Cake with Raspberry Ganache, or perhaps the Warm Bread Pudding with Rum Raisin Ice Cream. Take an after dinner stroll around the hotel and enjoy the nature trails and lush scenery to complete a truly magical evening. Visit or call 407-996-FOOD.

AAA Four Diamond Cala Bella, Rosen Shingle Creek

You’ll feel transported to Tuscany at Cala Bella, surrounded by stunning Italian artwork, soaring vaulted ceilings and arched entryways. Relax with a glass of bubbly and drink in the view of the evening sky over the hotel’s pool deck and golf course as you peruse the classic Italian and Mediterranean dishes on the Magical Dining Menu. Start with crispy Calamari Fritti in a spicy Peppadew Coulis followed by a traditional Chicken Parmesan, or perhaps enjoy a Roasted Beet Salad with organic baby greens and Blood Orange Vinaigrette followed by a succulent Grilled Tuscan Ribeye. The open kitchen allows diners a peek into the action, including the two-sided hydroponic garden that hangs over the prep station. This edible wall art allows the chef to pluck tender greens moments before serving for the ultimate in freshness. Top off the evening with an espresso and Tiramisu or Cappuccino Crème Brȗlee. Visit or call 407-996-FOOD.

Everglades Restaurant, Rosen Centre

At the Rosen Centre Hotel, the Everglades Restaurant offers fine dining in a fun atmosphere that celebrates the flavors of Florida and pays homage to the world’s largest tropical wetlands. Diners are surrounded by flora and fauna in the décor, which creates a unique ambiance. Daily supplies of fresh Florida native fish, along with select prime cuts of meat are carefully and creatively prepared with bright flavors and Southern accents such as fried green tomatoes and watermelon. The Magical Dining menu features several starters that Everglades is famous for, such as the Alligator Bay Chowder developed by Head Chef Fred Vlachos, and the George Barley salad that pays tribute to the late Everglades conservationist and features Florida Rock Shrimp Tempura, croutons, mixed greens and grilled pineapple. There are entrée choices for meat and seafood-lovers, and a wine list that offers sustainable organic wine choices in keeping with Rosen’s commitment to the environment. Can’t decide between Key Lime Pie and Double Chocolate Fudge Overload for dessert? Have both with a duo of dessert shots, a few bites of brilliant decadence to end the evening. Visit or call 407-996-2385.

Jack’s Place, Rosen Plaza

Step into this casual fine dining restaurant in a modern atmosphere on I-Drive and you’ll be surrounded by the world’s largest collection of autographed celebrity caricatures, created by Jack Rosen, the father of Rosen Hotels & Resorts’ founder Harris Rosen. This venue is sure to be a sell-out during Magical Dining Month, since guests who dine on Friday and Saturday nights will receive a complimentary caricature done by a local artist in addition to a fabulous meal. Start the evening off with a salad or Spicy Shrimp and Grits, followed by an expertly prepared Filet Mignon or Florida Gulf Coast Red Snapper served with basil garlic pappardelle pasta. Executive Chef Michael McMullen sources ingredients locally whenever possible, including deliveries of fresh herbs and produce grown by at-risk youth at Orlando’s Edgewood Children’s Ranch. Visit or call 407-996-1787.

Rosen Hotels & Resorts first in Orlando and among the first in Florida to receive APEX Designation for Green Practices

Press Releases

ORLANDO (September 14, 2015) — Rosen Hotels & Resorts in Orlando announced today that the company’s three convention hotels have been awarded the coveted APEX designation for sustainable meetings standards. The APEX initiative is a partnership of the Convention Industry Council (CIC) and ASTM International and is the meetings industry’s first standards designation for environmentally sustainable meetings.

The 1501-room Rosen Shingle Creek, 1334-room Rosen Centre and 800-room Rosen Plaza are the first hotels in Central Florida to receive the coveted designation for venue and accommodations. To earn the certification, the company underwent a vigorous evaluation process, known as being one of the most detailed and comprehensive of its kind.

Rosen Hotels & Resorts is a dedicated leader of environmental practices in the hospitality industry. The company’s three convention hotels were the first in Central Florida and the state to receive the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Green Lodging Two Palm designation in 2007 and Three Palm designation in 2009 for remarkable conservation practices. In 2009, owner Harris Rosen received the Legacy Award, Sustainable Florida’s highest honor. Most recently in 2012, the company built its first LEED Certified building, the 12,000 square-foot Rosen Medical Center, a Place for Healing and Wellness.

“As a company, we’ve always been dedicated to environmentally sound practices and keenly focused on evaluating and improving our green standards whenever possible,” said DeeDee Baggitt, Director of Engineering & Facilities, Rosen Hotels & Resorts. “This spans to services that would benefit those hosting ‘green’ meetings at our hotels, which is why we are so honored and pleased to have obtained the APEX designation.”

Meeting planners looking for options for hosting an environmentally sustainable meeting or event will find a comprehensive menu of programs created by the company, and most importantly ways to measure results to show the impact a group’s efforts have made.

“Groups and meetings are as important to us as are our company’s green efforts — vital to how we evaluate our success as a business and as a global community partner,” said Leslie Menichini, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Rosen Hotels & Resorts. “Marrying our environmentally sustainable business philosophy to those groups who want to make a positive eco-impact at their meetings at our hotels is just another way we strive to exceed our clients’ expectations.”

Groups interested in learning more about hosting a sustainable meeting or event at one of the three Rosen Hotels & Resorts’ convention properties can visit
