ORLANDO (July 21, 2009) – Although Orlando hotelier and philanthropist Harris Rosen is turning 70 this September, if there’s one thing he’s learned over the years it’s that it truly is more blessed to give gifts than to receive them. The owner of Florida’s largest independent hotel chain with seven Orlando hotels, Rosen is celebrating this milestone birthday by offering guests an unprecedented $70 nightly rate at each of his three award-winning hotels, the AAA Four Diamond Rosen Shingle Creek, Rosen Centre and Rosen Plaza.  Not only will guests receive an incredibly low rate on room nights at their choice of the three luxurious Orlando hotels, in addition, Rosen will donate five percent of each room night sold to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation dedicated to education and research about breast cancer causes, treatment and the search for a cure.

“One doesn’t reach 70 years old without realizing the great importance of family, friends and good health,” said Harris Rosen, President & COO of Rosen Hotels & Resorts. “I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my birthday than to invite others to spend some down time with their family and friends at one of our hotels in beautiful Orlando. We not only want to offer guests a much-needed getaway that is also affordable in this economy, but to have the opportunity to feel good about contributing to a worthwhile cause -- the Susan G. Komen Foundation.”

The special “Sleepover for the Cure” rate is available for select dates now through Dec. 28, 2009 and is $70 plus tax per night, double occupancy, based on date and rate availability and includes:

  • Complimentary self parking
  • Two for one golf at Shingle Creek Golf Club, named a Four Star Best Places to Play by Golf Digest
  • Fifteen (15) percent off coupons valid at Rosen Shingle Creek, Rosen Centre and Rosen Plaza dining and lounging outlets including:
